Exciting news: we are starting a first version of our Homeschool Resource Centre in September 2009! We are calling it Communidée.

The purpose of Communidée is to provide a physical space for the homeschooling community in and around Montreal to get together and get organized. We aim to build community among homeschooling families, expand educational opportunities, share resources and information, and promote a positive image of homeschooling.

Communidée is at 75 Sir George-Étienne Cartier in St-Henri.  See map below.

It is about a 10-minute walk from St-Henri metro.  If you are coming by car, finding parking on the street is usually pretty easy.

Communidée is located in an old elementary school building in St-Henri, nicely across from a park and just beside the Lachine Canal.  It is now a community centre called CRCS St-Zotique which houses some non-profit organizations during the day and an after-school program after 3pm.  There is a ramp outside, but no elevator inside.

We are accepting cash donations for Communidée, a registered non-profit organization.  Sorry, but without charitable status, we cannot provide a tax receipt.  Please make your cheque payable to Centre Communidée, and give it to Sonya, or mail it to 3591 Jeanne Mance, Montreal, QC, H2X 2K2.
