Community Schooling Math and Science workshops are educational and fun for students of all levels. Our qualified teachers believe in hands on activities to facilitate the learning of students. We understand that students learn best when immersed actively in the learning process instead of passively taking notes or listening to a teacher; this is why our workshops are filled with puzzles, games, manipulatives and experiments. The individual attention in the small groups is also a huge part of the Community Schooling philosophy. The Community Schooling Workshops are a great supplement to the homeschooling experience.
The NFB offers some really cool two-hour workshops at the CineRobotheque downtown - including video production, animation and claymation! Some are for ages 7+, some are for 9+ or 13+, and the cost is only $6.50 per person!
They will create a workshop just for homeschoolers if we have at least 20 people attending.
