Who: Homeschoolers in the Townships

What: Apple picking and picnic lunch

When: Monday, October 5, 2009 at 11:00 am

Where: Paradis des Fruits Orchard in Dunham, Quebec

Cost: Only what you purchase for yourself

There will be 7 or 8 types of apples available for picking, as well as baskets of pears, 5 types of honey, pies, juice, cider, jams, etc. to purchase. A 20 lb bag of apples that you pick yourself is $8.

Please bring your own lunch. There are picnic tables and a small slide and swings on site. There's also a park nearby that we will go to afterwards.

The Orchard will lend us a couple books to read to the kids while we're there. One is about the life of a tree and the other is about bees. She will give the kids a free taste of honey and apple juice (if she has apple juice already made).

The owner has asked me to call ahead give her a rough head count. Please contact Kim to confirm your attendance at ladybugabode@yahoo.ca by October 1, 2009. If you have a change in plans at the last minute, you're welcome to join us anyway, but I need to have a vague idea of our group size as a courtesy to the orchard.
