Ballet Anyone?
We were looking at the web site for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens the other day & checking out the performances planned for the coming season. They are offering a school presentation in October for Queen of Spades and another in December for the Nutcracker.
Just wondering if anyone was planning on organizing a visit to the ballet this year? If not, would there be others interested in getting together to bring a "school group" to see one of the ballets? With Michelle giving a ballet class I thought this might be fun to do together.
The dates/times are:
The Queen of Spades: Friday, October 24th, 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm
The Nutcracker: Tuesday, December 16th, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Of course, if these don't work for the majority of people it would be possible to get a group rate and go on another date, but I think they give a tour or some kind of talk to orient the kids better when they do the school matinees. That would not necessarily be possible on any other performance dates.....

Nutcracker with Ballet Ouest
I'm not sure if Cleo posts very often here, but I just wanted to say that she organized an outing to The Nutcracker at Ballet Ouest (which is less expensive than Les Grands) last year & is planning to do so again this year.
I'm hoping Cleo will post when she has more info about this year's presentation :)
