The freebie today at www.HomeschoolFreebieOfTheDay.com might be of interest to some of the parents here. It's a book called Easy Homeschool Curriculum by Laurie Curry. The book is aimed at Christian home educators, though I suspect those who are following a secular approach will be able to make use of it as well. I haven't had much of a chance to look at it myself, except a quick glance at the table of contents. But it seems to deal with each grade in a separate chapter, and also with each subject too. There are chapters on things like nature study and lapbooking, which might not ordinarily be found in a book about curriculum choices.

It would appear to be a good resource for those who would like to know how to choose classic books to teach with, and how to put them into use. If you want to look at a Charlotte Mason or classical approach, or any other literature-based methodology, this might be a help.

After today, I would imagine you'd have to pay the full price for the download (as in, I doubt there will be another free offer any time soon...) So if you want to save some money, try to get there before you go to bed!!
