All homeschoolers are welcome to join us at a Geordie production of Andersen's Inkwell on Thrusday May 6th at 12pm. The play is recommended for kids ages 6 and up.
"Discover the world of Hans Christian Andersen, one of the fathers of fairy-tale and creator of some of your favourite immortal stories in Geordie’s magical new production. With bits and pieces from Andersen’s famous and lesser known stories brilliantly woven together, this new play by contemporary Canadian playwright, Gina Wilkinson, celebrates a writer whose fanciful storytelling gave life and a voice to anything from flowers to storks to houses."
The group rate is $7 per person - (the normal rate is $13.50 per kid, $16 per adult, so it's quite a good deal). Please pay Sonya on the day of the play, preferably in exact change : ) If you do not show up or have to cancel at the last minute, you will still be responsible for paying for your tickets. If you cancel with enough advance warning, we can try to sell your tickets to another family.
Please come between 11:30 and 11:45. Enter by the door on Bishop Street, turn right, and find and pay Sonya at the top of the stairs that lead to the theatre. We have to get together outside the theatre and go in as a group. There are no reserved seats, just a reserved section for the Montreal Homelearners.
Geordie Productions have put together study guides for their shows, including plot synopsis, background info on the play, related games and activities, and more. If you're interested, it's something to look at before the play ; )
Please sign up below or by contacting Sonya.
