Dear Homeschooling Friends and Parents,

We are 7 children of the Home Schooling Community of the Greater Montreal, Laval, and South Shore areas. Like you, we have been touched by the catastrophe in Haiti.

We have decided to get together and organize a Movie Afternoon to raise funds to help rebuild schools in Haiti through World Vision.

Title: “UP” on a Giant Screen

Date:   Saturday, March 27th, 2010,

Time:  2:00-5:00 p.m.

Place:  Westview Bible Church, 16789 Pierrefonds Blvd.,

Cost:   FREE MOVIE with the purchase of popcorn and drink for $5.00

Info:   This Disney musical-comedy-adventure  has a fresh twist about the story of a black princess, (an appropriate gesture for our cause!), a frog, a kiss and a magical transformation.

At intermission we will be holding a raffle, $2.00 or 3 for $5.00, for some terrific prizes such as an Autographed Canadiens Hockey Stick, Family Ski Passes at Mont Orford, movie passes, CDs, DVDs, books and much more.  We will also be showing our power-point presentation of what we learned about Haiti and we will be thanking all the sponsors who helped us.

WHY ARE WE CONTACTING YOU....

If you would be interested in volunteering for this fundraiser we would be delighted.  We need help setting up and assisting us on the Movie Day, advertising, obtaining Raffle gifts, selling Movie Tickets and Raffle Tickets in advance, and we would like to have a variety of vendor’s booths with Homeschooled Children’s handmade items for sale at Intermission.  If you would be interested in helping with any of the above-mentioned, please contact us ASAP at 514-833-0813 or 514-993-4580, angelina.rossi@videotron.ca or janice.mecs@gmail.com.

Of course, all the money we raise will be donated to World Vision for the people of Haiti.  We hope you can help us to help the children of Haiti.
