Hi everyone.
I am a mother of 2 fabulous boys - one in grade 6 and the other in grade 5. Both are attending "regular" school right now, but we all want to homeschool for highschool. I am doing my research now so that we'll have success next year.
I am nervous about the legalities involved - I've heard that the schoolboards can be less than helpful once you've decided to homeschool. Anybody have any tips or stories to share on this?
Also - a lot of what I'm reading about homeschooling revolves around elementary school aged children. Are there many highschool aged kids who are homeschooled? I would like to group up with at a couple of other homeschoolers so that the kids can socialize and work together - at least occasionally.
Any tips, information, ideas would be greatly appreciated.
