My name is Tamiko Charlton and I homeschool my two boys in Chilliwack, BC. I have often thought of trying to build a network of homeschool families who could provided a B&B (or trailer pad parking) for visiting homeschoolers and parents (at a nominal fee to cover costs) from another province. It would offer an exciting opportunity for homeschoolers from other provinces to meet one another learn about their host family's community first hand. One day homeschool families or older kids may be able to travel across the country this way!

It is unfortunate that I did not start earlier because my boys and I have a karate competition in Montreal on the March 21st weekend. We were wondering if there were any homeschool families in the Montreal area that would provide a B&B for us in exchange for a B&B at our home (outside of Vancouver) in the distant future. (We have a horse farm, quads, swimming, hiking and fishing nearby.)

Our training and competition venue is at Concordia University so it would be great to be a short cab ride away from there. Perhaps this trip could be the start of our homeschool travel network?
