This book club is geared toward the younger kids, ages 6-8, so will be more parent-led and include hands-on activities.  The first book will be "Tonight on the Titanic"/"Les dernieres heures du Titanic" by Mary Pope Osborne.  In this meeting, we'll discuss the book, decode a message in Morse code and see how much of an "iceberg" is underwater.  I also have the accompanying "Titanic" research guide from Mary Pope Osborne and we'll talk a little about the difference between fiction and nonfiction and what lessons we learned from the Titanic tragedy.

Although this club is geared toward the younger kids, it is open to all who read or have the book read to them and would like to participate in the discussion and activities.
