Howdy!
My name is Jess. I have 2 sons that I'm homeschooling: Morgan (14) and Finn (12). We're starting our 5th year in Canada and beginning our 3rd year of home learning. Our family is originally from California and made the move here since my husband had a job opportunity in Montreal.
We are feeling a bit isolated and trying to find others of similar ages in our area, which is St-Lazare. If there is anyone out there that would like to get together, let me know!

I think a few of the MHLers are from the "off-island" area, but you might also want to get in touch with the Trois Lacs Home Educators' Association. They have a web site at www.troislacshome-ed.org which doesn't appear to always be up to date, but their contact info is available.
A lot of activities in the West Island & off-island area are also advertised on the Homeschooling Horizons events list. Go to http://www.parrot.ca/events to subscribe for free. There have been quite a number of gym and arts activities, in particular, that have come across the list from your neck of the woods lately. Keep your eyes open for information evenings & their support group meetings for parents too.
