Thursday September 3rd, from lunchtime until sunset at Beaver Lake on Mont Royal (see map and directions below). If Thursday is rained out, we'll make it on Friday the 4th.
We are inviting all homeschooling families to come from far and wide and celebrate our freedom from the classroom! Last year over 100 of us attended. If you want to be sure to meet lots of other homeschoolers, this is the event to drive in for!
We will gather in and beside the new playground at Beaver Lake. There is a small water spray, so bring your swim stuff. Also bring your picnic lunch - there are picnic tables and lots of shady spots to spread your blanket. At the nearby chalet, there is a small café and bathrooms. And you can even rent paddle boats and tour the pond.
After lunch, there will be entertainment and games for kids of all ages, including face-painting, water balloons, a treasure hunt, and more! There will be lots of time for free play too, so feel free to bring toys and games to share : )
Please help us get the word out by passing this invitation along to any homeschoolers you know...
