Monday September 13th, from 10am at Maniadakis Organic Orchard in Franklin (about 1 hour South of Montreal - see map here). POSTPONED TO THURS SEPT 16.
All homelearners are welcome to join us for some organic apple-picking and playing at Maniadakis' farm. Apples cost $1.70 per pound - (they will give us a sense of how much an average bag would cost before we go out). Bring a cloth bag if you can (or they can give you plastic bags). Apples that will be ready for picking: McIntosh, Paula Red, Spartan, and maybe some others.
The Maniadakis family will tell us a bit about organic apple-farming, explain how and why they have a wind-machine, and let us play in their play castle. Bring your lunch and we'll picnic and play until mid-afternoon.
It was suggested that afterwards, we stop by a nearby farm that the iefGM group found last year. The have a little restaurant for those who want something hot, a petting farm and structures to play on. It's free except for playing on the inflatable structures and the tractor ride (both optional).
Please sign up below or by contacting Sonya at (514) 845-5421. Also, let me know if you need or can offer a ride.

ride to apple picking
If anyone has space for 1 skinny kiddo and me, we would love a ride.

You'll fit in our car
Thankfully Liam is skinny, because he'll be squeezed in between 2 carseats.
