All homeschooling families are welcome to join us for some running around and a picnic lunch. There are French and English families, kids and babies of all ages, and all styles of homeschooling. While religious families are welcome to join us, our gatherings are entirely secular.
Thursday August 13th, from around 11am until late afternoon (sometimes evening) at Parc Wilcox in Verdun (see map below), as suggested by rachel:
There are super cool water jets, and a huge climbing rope web structure, two different modules (for younger and older kids), and more. There is an ice cream parlor right beside it, toilets, a restaurant, and the fleuve with its many ducks.
Weather: If the chance of rain is less than 50% and it's not raining at departure time, it's on. When it's canceled due to rain, we often go to the Bibliotheque Nationale - 475 deMaisonneuve Est (at Berri-UQAM metro), downstairs in the children's section, and have snacks at the cafe on the ground floor.
We will be meeting every Thursday in different parks around the city. Feel free to suggest any little gems you know about!
