11/02/2010 - 12:00

Offered by: homeschooling parent Sherry

Create a cool finger puppet, "beaded" necklace or animal.  Glue on pompoms or sequins to give your creation a Seuss flair.  We will start with some history on pipe cleaners.  Look at its anatomy.  Check out different examples. And finish with bending, twisting and gluing.  Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring bits and bobs like sequins, pompoms, shapes, string, etc.  Sherry will bring a few pairs of jewelry wire cutters.

Pipe cleaners have sharp wire ends so parents are asked to help young ones and/or advise older ones to be careful when bending/cutting.
