Science workshop: Mixtures

09/17/2010 - 13:00
09/17/2010 - 14:00

Offered by: homeschoolers Sherry and Liam

Can you guess what a tossed salad, salt water and a mixed bag of M&M's candy have in common? Yup, they are examples of mixtures. Let's spend some time looking at what makes a suspension, a solution and a colloid. Have fun with materials found in the kitchen. Learn a few science lab rules. AND finish with, of course, baking soda and vinegar. All materials will be supplied.

When: Friday Sept 17, from 1 to 2pm

Where: Room 129 at Centre Communidée

Signing up: This activity is limited to 10 kids. Advance sign-ups for members until Sept 14. Please use the sign up feature below or contact Sonya at (514) 845-5421.
