Our first Thursday indoors at the MAI went really well, but we found the room to be
(1) too small for all of us (we were 30 people! and another 10 were not there exceptionally), and
(2) too loud (hard surfaces reflected every sound and lots of... kids : )
So we brainstormed and tapped into our collective resources and came up with another space already! Josee has contact with the Baha'i Centre on Pine Avenue and they have generously agreed to let us use their bigger space for FREE! We want the decision to involve as many of us as possible, so come on down on Thursday October 9th to check it out...
The details:
The Baha'i Centre is at 177 des Pins est, at Hotel-de-Ville (see map below). We have the space from 11am til 3pm.
The room is quite big, with a stage, a piano, and the option of showing films on a screen. There are tables and chairs, and a little kitchen which will give us easy access to a sink for clean ups, and a kettle for tea : )
Bring your ideas, as well as toys and games and food and drink.
To those who paid for membership at the MAI - I haven't cashed any cheques yet so I can simply return them to you.

transport to the Baha'i center
Hi all,
one way to get there via public transport, is from metro Sherbrooke, exit St-Denis towards north. Then it is a short walk on St-Denis until you meet Pine avenue.
So it is a eight-to-ten-minute walk to the center (adult speed).
Or if you prefer you can also take the bus at the metro (144 for Pine Avenue), that takes you to the door, but usually I prefer to walk, as the bus doesn't come that often.
looking forward to see you this Thursday!

We will be there!
Sounds great! As an added bonus, I think the location will be better for us as far as public transit goes.
bonus
Also, it doesn't have any stairs at all, so it is quite easy to get in with small kids and strollers.
