Well For India

Hi
I just wanted to add some suggestions for the Build A Well Project posted January 21st.
There are 6 confirmations so far from families interested in participating in the project. Thanks!
For those of you who find the idea of fundraising daunting perhaps if we were a larger group it would make the task a bit easier. The idea of working together as 10 families is not set in stone. If there were larger numbers it would obviously reduce the amount needed per family. Here are some ideas to spark your interest!
Some suggestions for raising funds: Cook a vegetable stew and offer it to a neighbor for dinner .You raise 25$ and they dont have to cook supper when they get home from work.
For those of you with spouses at an office...Make sandwich lunches for staff, package them in paper bags decorated by your children and sell them for 5$ each. You could include some napkin poetry or information about the project.
Have your children put on a movie night(water themed ...Nemo,Shark Tales) with popcorn and charge 2$ at the door. You could show the Well video as a preview.
Have a water themed art show ,send invitations and sell your creations!
This is a wonderfully rewarding project. You never know, maybe one day your children will travel to India to see what it is they did to help change lives for the better.
