Our homeschooling family will be in Costa Rica this winter and we wanted to offer our house to any homeschoolers in Montreal who might be interesting in renting a house this winter in the Eastern Townships. We're renting our place for much less than other homes in the area and are hoping another homeschooling family (or maybe two to share?) will be able to enjoy the change of scenery and experience the beauty of winter in the countryside.

Our house is in in the village of Knowlton: 1 hour from Montreal and close to 5 ski hills (very close to Sutton & Bromont; Owl's Head, Orford and Jay Peak are nearby too). Our house is within walking distance of the village's many shops, but surrounded by forest with kilometres of trails that begin right in the backyard - great for walking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. We get visits from deer daily.

We have a large and very unique home with stone and wood inside & out. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms + powder room, wood stove, open-space kitchen and dining room, living room + huge sun-filled playroom. Separate garage. High speed internet access.

For larger groups, there's also a queen-sized futon in the playroom, 2 large inflatable mattresses (1 queen, 1 double), a small toddler-sized mattress and a playpen for baby.

The house is fully equipped and has everything you'll need, including tons of games, books, videos, bikes, sleds, etc. for kids. Knowlton's best sledding hill is just steps from the house – this is a great hill for all ages, from tiny tots to thrill-seeking adults. You just decide where you want to start.

We're also close to all services: restaurants, boutiques, grocery store, pharmacy, medical clinic, etc.

Knowlton is said to be one of Canada's most picturesque villages. The town offers great shopping, quaint cafés, a community centre with a park, 2 outdoor skating rinks, walking trails, a large municipal beach and much more.

The house is available from mid-January to early April. We'd like to rent it for the entire time, but we'd be willing to rent it for a minimum of 1 month, too. No pets please.
