Offered by: homeschooling parent Glenn Hilke What: " Song and Bong" - 60 min. percussion and storytelling....helping participants to create musical soundtracks to go along with their stories. Stories can be published or not (original)...contain images or not....be read or simply vocalized....be written or just improvised on the spot. The objective is to familiarize ourselves with sound making devices, literature, innovative ideas, listening and sharing and group creativity... One session for younger ones and one for older. Maude and her family will bring the necessary ingredients and know-how to bake a cake! We will smell it cooking over lunch and then enjoy it hot out of the oven : ) In case it's not obvious, it will take place in the kitchen (room 129). No need to sign up. Start: 13:00

Who: offered by homeschooling parent Beth Haarsma What: making & baking salt dough food & other items to play store. Develop math/money skills, as well as arts & crafts and languages, while having fun! Kids can take turns playing merchant and shopper. At the end of the day, merchants tally up their cash and deposit their earnings at the bank. When: two Tuesday afternoons in a row - September 15 & 22 Where: September 15 - the kitchen (room 129) for the making/baking/decorating; September 22 - the gym for playing store. | ||
