An outdoor scavenger hunt with a digital camera. Parents go with their kids. Bring your digital camera and USB cable if you want to upload your pics to the laptop for viewing. (If you don't have a digital camera, let me know and I'll try to find you one.) Starting at 10:30am, we'll make our list of what items we'll try to find and shoot. Examples include: a squirrel, a red truck, the number '8', etc. Start: 13:00

Assemble and decorate your own gingerbread house! There will be a fee of $3 per participant to cover the cost of ingredients. Feel free to also bring some of your own goodies to decorate with. When: Tuesday Dec 8th, 1-3pm Where: room 129 We will supply: graham cookies, icing, decorations, and hot chocolate. Please bring: a container to bring it home it (ideally an ice cream or yogurt-sized container - houses will be around 6" tall). I am in charge of teaching you the steps, you are in charge of the experiment! -- UNFORTUNATELY, THIS ACTIVITY HAS BEEN CANCELED. "Tower of fluids" experiment - make your own "density lasagna" and "liquid lava"! Learning about density of fluids is colorfull and a lot of fun!
