Offered by: homeschooling parent JackieThis series of 10 classes will cover the basics of physics: force, work, energy, electrons, magnets and light and sound waves. Each class will include about 10 minutes of lecture, followed by a hands-on experiment which follows the scientific method and a brief recap of our findings. Older students may choose to complete a laboratory workbook (available for purchase from www.gravitaspublications.com), while younger students and others may participate orally. This course was designed for the K-3 level and is open to children 5 and up.

Offered by: homeschooling parent DannyThe children will explore the way different electric motors work.  We will assemble a simple DC circuit in order to put into practice what we have learned about the control of a DC motor.  Younger children will require parental involvement.  Please bring 2 AA batteries.When: Tuesday Sept 21 from 1 to 2pm
