Offered by: homeschooling parent JackieThis series of 10 classes will cover the basics of physics: force, work, energy, electrons, magnets and light and sound waves.  Each class will include about 10 minutes of lecture, followed by a hands-on experiment which follows the scientific method and a brief recap of our findings. Older students may choose to complete a laboratory workbook (available for purchase from www.gravitaspublications.com), while younger students and others may participate orally.  This course was designed for the K-3 level and is open to children 5 and up.

Offered by: homeschooling parent MelissaIn keeping with the afternoon's book club topic, Melissa will organize some arts and crafts on the theme of the Great Plains of the 1800s.  All materials will be provided, and we will bring in some picture books for inspiration!We will also make butter!  Bring a small glass jar for each child, the rest will be provided.
